After 'RRR', 'Oppenheimer' wins the Golden Globe Awards, 'Poor Things' beats 'Barbie'
Last year, S.S Rajamouli's film RRR's song 'Natu Natu' won the 80th Golden Globe Awards for being the 'Best Original Song', making all Indians proud. Oppenheimer ruled the 81st Golden Globes.
The Golden Globe Awards are accolades bestowed for excellence in both American and international film and television. It is an annual award ceremony held since 1944 to honor artists and professionals and their work. The ceremony is normally held every January and has been a major part of the film industry's award season which culminates each year in the Academy Awards.
Oppenheimer secured a total of five awards this season out of 8 nominations. Christopher Nolan won the 'Best Director Award' and Cillian Murphy won 'Best Film Actor Award' (Drama). The movie got the award for 'Best Film' (Drama).
Oppenheimer and Barbie gave each other a tough competition and ruled the global box office during july and august last year. But surprisingly Emma Stone's 'Poor Things' beat out Barbie as Best Film (Musical/Comedy).
