Sudden demise of the famous Sound Engineer Anup Mukherjee

The well known sound engineer Anup Mukherjee left the world grieving on December 22. 

Anup Mukherjee is a known name in the industry. This known sound engineer did his graduation from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Mukherjee has won the National Award for Sound Designing five times. He has worked with several famous directors such as Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Tapan Sinha and many more, at the same time he has also collaborated with famous commercial film directors like Anjan Chowdhury, Swapan Saha. After his graduation from Film Institute he went to Mumbai and started his career in television. Later he shifted back to Kolkata. 

Mukherjee reached his milestone when he got selected as the Indian representative in the Asian Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). He later started working in the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). 

Even after being so successful he led a very simple life. After working till late night he used to take a train and go through a 25 - 30 minutes hassle in public conveyance after getting down for returning home. Although he walked a long path in life but he never forgot his roots. 

He was a workaholic and even the night before his demise he worked till late night. He spent half of his life in the dark mixing room. 

The whole industry is in sorrow because of this heart wrenching news. We hope that his soul rest in peace.
