In an interview with Ranveer Allahabadia on his podcast, Akshay Kumar shares insights into the revival of the comedy genre in Bollywood, citing upcoming films like 'Welcome 3,' 'Housefull 5,' and 'Hera Pheri 4'. Addressing the scarcity of comedy films, he expresses optimism about an upcoming wave, stating, "It will come now. Within this year and the next, quite a few comedy films will be released. I myself am involved in two or three." When queried about his projects, Akshay confirms, "I am working on them. I am part of 'Welcome,' 'Housefull,' and perhaps 'Hera Pheri' as well."
Akshay also tackled the issue of individuals taking offense to jokes in comedy films, emphasizing, "I am not making fun. I'm simply portraying a role, embodying a character."

The notice stipulates T-Series as the "sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all 'Music and Audio Visual Song Rights' of the Franchise Film on all modes, mediums, and formats (existing now and arising in the future) worldwide and indefinitely."
'Hera Pheri 4' is set to be directed by Farhad Samji. In addition to its original cast featuring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty, the film will also feature Sanjay Dutt in a significant role.
