Jo Bo-ah Announces Marriage to Non-Celebrity Boyfriend: Wedding to Take Place Later This Year
Jo Bo-ah, the acclaimed actress best known for her role as Nam Ji-ah in the hit K-drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed, is set to tie the knot later this year. According to a statement released by her agency, XYZ Studio, the wedding will be a private affair held in Seoul, respecting the privacy of her non-celebrity fiancé.
On August 28, reports surfaced that Jo Bo-ah was planning to marry her longtime boyfriend in the coming months. In response, XYZ Studio confirmed the news, stating, “Jo Bo-ah has met a precious person with whom she has built deep trust and affection over a long period, and they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together this coming fall.”
The agency emphasized that the wedding will be an intimate event, held in consideration of the groom’s privacy and both families. “We deeply appreciate the many people who have always supported actress Jo Bo-ah with unwavering and warm hearts,” the statement continued. “We kindly ask for your warm blessings. To repay the love fans have shown, she will continue to showcase excellent performances as an actress, so please show lot of interest and support.”
Jo Bo-ah made her acting debut in 2012 with the drama Flower Band and ventured into films in 2014 with the erotic thriller Innocent Thing. Over her decade-long career, she has been part of several notable projects, including Sweet Stranger and Me, The Idle Mermaid, All About My Mom, Monster, and Temperature of Love.
Her more recent works include roles in Goodbye to Goodbye, My Strange Hero, Military Prosecutor Doberman, and Destined With You. Jo Bo-ah is currently gearing up for her next project, the historical romance drama Hongrang, where she will star alongside Lee Jae-wook.
