Richa Chadha Shares Heartfelt Maternity Photoshoot and Message on Celebrating Daughter's Day with Newborn

Richa Chadha recently took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her maternity photoshoot and a heartfelt message for her newborn daughter. The actor, who celebrated Daughter’s Day with her baby girl, posted unseen photographs from the shoot, expressing her excitement about sharing these moments with her daughter in the future.

In the images, Chadha proudly displays her baby bump, draped in a saree styled to maintain her modesty. Notably, she disabled comments on the post. "Maya Angelou said 'My mother shed her protective love down around me and without knowing why, people sensed I had value.' You will always have value, lil girl," Chadha wrote.

She went on to provide context for the photoshoot, revealing that the images were taken during the ninth month of her pregnancy. The shoot was conducted by photographer Harsh (Instagram: @harshphotography11), while body art featuring sacred geometry was painted by Avantika (Instagram: @avantika_1988). Chadha explained the significance of the symbols, including the "flower of life" on her navel and the "symbol of the divine feminine" on her chest. Reflecting on the experience, she wrote, "Little did I know at the time that I would have a daughter."

The actor continued to honor the feminine spirit, describing women as “sacred vessels of the universe, clones herself to make another in her image." Concluding the post, she addressed her daughter, writing, "Happy Daughter’s Day little girl. We will see these pictures together one day, where you posed inside and I was bursting at the seams… this one is for us, so outsiders can look but can’t speak."

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl, born on July 16, 2024. The couple shared their joy with fans through a joint statement, saying, “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”

The announcement followed an earlier Instagram post in which the couple had revealed Chadha’s pregnancy with the caption, “1+1 = 3.” They added, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.”

Chadha and Fazal first met on the sets of Fukrey and made their relationship public in September 2022. The pair tied the knot in Lucknow in October that same year. Chadha’s most recent on-screen appearance was in Netflix’s series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
