Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan were spotted dancing together at the Ambani pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, sparking speculation about a potential collaboration. During an Instagram live session on his birthday, Aamir confirmed that the three of them have indeed discussed working together on a film for their fans. He expressed their strong belief in the idea and their eagerness to find the right story for the project. Aamir emphasized that they are all keen to work with each other and believe that now is the opportune time for such a collaboration.
Aamir, Shah Rukh, and Salman have collectively contributed over 30 years to the film industry. While they have all made cameo appearances in each other’s films, Shah Rukh and Aamir have never shared the screen together in a full-fledged role. However, Aamir and Salman previously collaborated in Rajkumar Santoshi’s classic comedy, Andaz Apna Apna. During the same chat, Aamir provided an update on the highly anticipated sequel, Andaz Apna Apna 2, revealing that Santoshi has been actively working on the script for the sequel.
Andaz Apna Apna, released in 1994, featured Aamir, Salman, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles, supported by Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor. Although it didn't fare well at the box office initially, the film gained immense recognition in later years and is now regarded as one of the finest comedy films in Indian cinema.
During the live chat, Aamir revealed, "I've recently learned that Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of Andaz Apna Apna. This news is quite fresh, so we shouldn't get overly excited just yet. However, I'm glad he's considering it because I believe it would be a fantastic film for all of us to work on and for the audience to enjoy." Aamir, who has been on a sabbatical from movies since 2022's Laal Singh Chaddha, is set to appear next in Sitare Zameen Par.
