Bobby Deol is set to take on the role of the villain in the YRF Spy Universe film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh

Bobby Deol, acclaimed for his negative role in Animal, is now poised to portray Alia Bhatt's adversary in an upcoming untitled spy action-thriller by YRF.

Bobby Deol continues to excel in his cinematic journey, embracing villainous roles across Hindi and regional cinema. Following his acclaimed portrayal as Abrar Haque in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, he's now venturing into the Yash Raj Films spy universe. Set to join the action-thriller spin-off alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, as reported by Deadline, Deol marks another captivating addition to the project.

As per the portal, "Following his role in the box office hit Animal, it's revealed that Bobby Deol will take on the villainous role in the forthcoming Yash Raj Films Spy Universe feature, alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh." While the remaining cast is yet to be officially disclosed by the makers, the untitled project extends within the same cinematic universe linking the upcoming War 2 and Tiger Vs Pathaan. Alia marks a milestone as the first female lead in a high-octane espionage thriller. Sharvari, known for her role in YRF's Bunty Aur Babli 2, joins Alia as another spy in the film. Directed by Shiv Rawail of The Railway Men fame, anticipation builds around this thrilling venture.

In the upcoming untitled spy saga, Bobby, who clashed with Ranbir in Animal, is poised to enter combat mode with Alia. While Alia showcased her prowess in intense action scenes in Gal Gadot's Heart of Stone, she didn't portray the lead role in the Hollywood thriller.

Bobby's upcoming projects include the Tamil action-fantasy "Kanguva," starring Suriya and Disha Patani, and the Telugu period action-adventure "Hari Hara Veera Mallu," where he takes on the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Meanwhile, Alia is currently busy filming for her home-production "Jigra," in which she stars alongside Vedang Raina from The Archies, who plays a pivotal role.

Sharvari recently provided an update on her upcoming action-drama "Vedaa," which stars John Abraham alongside her.
