BTS agency addresses 'rumors of covert chart manipulation'; discusses 'cyber attackers'

HYBE has issued a statement regarding the legal actions being taken against individuals involved in malicious activities targeting their artists, including BTS, TXT, and SEVENTEEN. According to Soompi, BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, also clarified in their statement that "there is no connection between" BTS and Body & Brain.

The agency also stated that the "rumors of covert chart manipulation and unethical marketing are fabricated and entirely unrelated to the artist."

Part of the statement read, "We have filed multiple complaints with the investigative agency... we want to reiterate that there is no connection between BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS, and Body & Brain. Rumors suggesting an association between the artist or the artist’s lyrics and Body & Brain are false. Upon discovering Body & Brain’s illegal use of BTS’s intellectual property, we promptly demanded the removal of the content in question and received a commitment to prevent any future occurrences."

Agencies representing NewJeans, SEVENTEEN, Fromis 9, Hwang Minhyun, Baekho, TWS, and BoyNextDoor also issued statements.
