First Look of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan: Shanaya Kapoor and Vikrant Massey Share a Dreamy Moment
The much-awaited first look of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan has been unveiled, marking the debut of Shanaya Kapoor alongside Vikrant Massey in a romantic lead. The poster captures a whimsical and heartfelt moment between the pair, hinting at the emotional tone the film intends to carry.
Set on a merry-go-round at an amusement park, the first look poster shows Vikrant and Shanaya seated on a carousel horse, with their eyes closed and leaning into each other. "They are captured with their eyes closed, lost in the moment, on a merry-go-round ride at an amusement park."
"The first poster sets a dreamy and romantic tone with a carousel-lit backdrop. Vikrant and Shanaya are seen sharing a sweet moment while seated on a carousel horse."
Dressed in a brown jacket and trousers, Vikrant gently holds Shanaya’s hands, exuding a soft and tender chemistry. Shanaya stuns in a red sequined dress with a thigh-high slit, her hair flowing and sunglasses in hand. "Vikrant is dressed in a casual brown jacket and trousers as he gently holds Shanaya’s hands as they lean into each other. Their eyes are closed, and holding their hands."
"On the other hand, Shanaya is seen in a red sequined outfit with a thigh-high slit, her hair flowing. She is holding sunglasses in her hand. The background comes with golden lights in the background."
The poster has stirred a flurry of reactions online. While many fans were quick to support Shanaya’s launch, a section of viewers commented on the visible age gap between the debutante and her co-star. Shanaya is 25, while Vikrant is 38.
"The age difference is showing," one social media user wrote, while another said, "Such an outdated campaign." Another comment read, "Vikrant Massey is least suited with Shanaya Kapoor." Some fans, seemingly surprised by Vikrant’s casting, remarked, "He took retirement," and, "I thought he retired."
Despite the criticism, Shanaya's parents, Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor, turned cheerleaders for their daughter. "Shanaya Kapoor's parents Maheep and Sanjay turned her cheerleaders after seeing the first poster of her debut film." Maheep responded with heart emojis on the production house’s Instagram post, while Sanjay wrote, "God is kind." Actor Abhay Verma also chimed in, commenting, "This poster represents a lot of Dreams! can’t fathom how magical the film’s going to be.”
Directed by Santosh Singh with music by Vishal Mishra, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is produced by Zee Studios and is slated to release in theatres on July 11, 2025. The studio had earlier teased the romantic drama with a monsoon-themed caption: "This monsoon, don’t just fall, but feel the love. #AankhonkiGustaakhiyan In cinemas near you on 11th July 2025”.
While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the film promises a blend of fresh faces and heartfelt emotions, set against visually rich backdrops. Earlier this year, Shanaya shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film’s shoot in Azerbaijan, further building anticipation around her launch project.
