Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Whodunnit Maintains Strong Hold

Tarun Mansukhani’s star-studded comedy Housefull 5 continues its impressive run at the box office, showing solid growth over its opening weekend. Featuring a power-packed ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, the film has struck a chord with audiences, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.

According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film opened to a strong start, raking in ₹24 crore on Day 1. This performance not only surpassed the opening of previous Housefull instalments but also outdid recent Akshay Kumar releases such as Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. Day 2 witnessed a significant upward trend, with collections climbing to ₹31 crore, bringing the domestic total to ₹55 crore.

On Day 3, which marked the film’s first Sunday, Housefull 5 maintained its momentum and collected ₹32 crore. This pushed the film’s total domestic earnings to ₹87 crore. With its current pace, the comedy entertainer is well on track to cross the ₹100 crore mark by Monday.

Akshay Kumar, known for his unique promotional stunts, added to the buzz with a surprise visit to a cinema in Bandra. Disguised in the “killer mask” from the film, he interacted with moviegoers exiting the show. He shared the fun moment on Instagram, writing, "Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull 5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience."

Housefull 5 features an expansive cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever. The film, released with two different climax sequences, offers a comedic whodunnit twist to the franchise.

If audience interest remains strong, Housefull 5 could emerge as one of the biggest commercial hits of the year.
