Ileana D'Cruz Speaks About Paparazzi Clicking Pictures of Her Children: “It Would Just Be Incredibly Confusing For Them”

Actor Ileana D'Cruz recently opened up about her views on the paparazzi photographing her children in India. During an interview with NDTV, the actress revealed that, like fellow Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, she would not be comfortable with her two sons, Keanu Rafe Dolan and Koa Phoenix Dolan, being photographed by the media.

“It would definitely have been hard for me to be photographed with my babies. It would just be incredibly confusing for them. And it's not fair to them because they wouldn't understand what is going on. I would not be okay with it,” Ileana said candidly.

The actress further explained that she has always maintained a respectful and understanding relationship with the paparazzi in Mumbai. “But I've had a good relationship with the paps in Bombay, and every time I have told them, 'Listen, I'm not comfortable, please don't take a picture.' They've actually respected my wishes. So if it were to come to that, I think they would understand not to take pictures of the babies,” she added.

Ileana D'Cruz and her husband Michael Dolan welcomed their first son, Koa, in August 2023. Later, they introduced their second child, Keanu, who was born on June 19, 2025. Sharing the joyous news on social media, Ileana expressed her happiness with heartfelt messages, saying, “Our hearts are so full,” accompanied by emojis, and “No words could explain how happy we are to welcome our darling boy to the world. Heart’s beyond full.”

On the professional front, Ileana was last seen in the 2024 romantic comedy Do Aur Do Pyaar, directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta. The film starred Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, and Sendhil Ramamurthy. Over the years, Ileana has gained popularity for her performances in notable films like Barfi!, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, Main Tera Hero, Rustom, Amar Akbar Anthony, The Big Bull, and Tera Kya Hoga.
