Kajol Addresses Criticism Over Paparazzi Incidents, Stands Firm on Authenticity

In a recent interview with Zoom, actress Kajol has responded to criticism following several videos that depict her reacting negatively to paparazzi. Social media users have labeled her behavior as "rude," but Kajol remains unapologetic, emphasizing her refusal to conform to the unrealistic standards often imposed on celebrities.

"I do get angry. I have bad days and good days—that’s me,” Kajol stated, highlighting the importance of authenticity in her life. She pointed out that social media often presents a curated, flawless image that doesn't reflect the complexities of real life.

Kajol further explained her stance, saying, “I cannot and will not sit down and edit myself time and again for somebody else’s idea of ‘she is a celebrity and she should not lose her temper.’”

Recent videos have shown her expressing frustration towards the paparazzi, including one instance during her Durga Puja celebrations where she scolded them for obstructing the rituals and coming too close to the idol while wearing shoes.

On the professional front, Kajol is set to play a police officer in the upcoming Netflix film Do Patti, alongside Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. She has a diverse slate of projects ahead, including her first foray into the horror genre with Maa, and an action-packed film titled Maharagni—Queen of Queens, which marks her reunion with Prabhu Deva after 27 years.
