Kangana Ranaut Acquires New Office Space in Mumbai for Rs 1.56 Crore
Mumbai, August 2024 — Actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut has expanded her real estate portfolio by acquiring a new office space in Mumbai. The property, located in a building named Arch One, is spread across 407 sq ft and is situated on the 19th floor. The purchase was made at a rate of Rs 38,391 per sq ft on carpet, bringing the total cost to Rs 1.56 crore. The actress has also paid a stamp duty of Rs 9.37 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
This new acquisition adds to Ranaut’s existing properties in Mumbai, where she already owns a home-office and a residential apartment in the upscale Bandra area.
Ranaut, who is gearing up for the release of her next film Emergency, has had a busy year both in her acting career and her political journey. In May 2024, she declared assets worth Rs 91 crore before contesting the Lok Sabha elections, in which she emerged victorious, representing Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency.
According to her election affidavit, Ranaut's assets are a mix of movable and immovable properties. She declared Rs 28.7 crore in movable assets and Rs 62.9 crore in immovable assets. The actress owns 6.7 kg of gold jewelry, 60 kg of silver (in the form of utensils and jewelry), and diamond jewelry valued at Rs 3 crore.
In terms of vehicles, Ranaut disclosed ownership of three luxury cars: a BMW worth Rs 98 lakh, a Mercedes Benz valued at Rs 58 lakh, and a Mercedes Maybach priced at Rs 3.91 crore. She also owns a Vespa scooter worth Rs 53,000.
The affidavit further revealed that at the time of filing, Ranaut had Rs 2 lakh in cash, a bank balance of Rs 1.35 crore, and a debt of Rs 17 crore. Her real estate holdings include four commercial units in Chandigarh, a commercial property in Mumbai, a commercial building in Manali, three flats in Mumbai worth Rs 16 crore, and a bungalow in Manali valued at Rs 15 crore.
Financially, the actress reported an income of Rs 4 crore for the financial year 2022-23, a decrease from Rs 12.3 crore in the previous year.
As Ranaut continues to balance her dual roles in the entertainment industry and politics, her latest property purchase underscores her growing footprint in Mumbai’s real estate market.
