Netflix Unveils 2025 Line-Up, Highlights Neeraj Pandey's “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter”

Netflix has unveiled its 2025 line-up, promising a diverse array of shows across various regions and languages. Among the anticipated releases is Neeraj Pandey’s gritty cop drama, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, whose teaser was revealed last night. The series boasts a remarkable ensemble cast, featuring Bengali superstars Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee sharing the screen for the first time. Jeet takes on the role of an IPS officer, while Prosenjit Chatterjee is reportedly portraying a politician.

Set against the backdrop of Kolkata in the 2000s, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter explores a gripping narrative of crime and punishment. The storyline centers around an IPS officer’s unyielding quest to restore peace and justice in a world rife with gangsters and political corruption. Parambrata Chatterjee also stars as a police officer, Tushar Kanti Ray.

Neeraj Pandey serves as the showrunner, sharing writing credits with Debatma Mandal and Samrat Chakroborty. Reflecting on his collaboration with Netflix, Pandey stated, "With Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, we celebrate our continued partnership with Netflix in building a franchise where the audience will witness a culturally rich region, bustling streets of Kolkata, new faces, new conflicts, and a story that is just as intense but uniquely its own."

The series also features Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadil Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, Mimoh Chakraborty, and Shraddha Das in key roles.

Although Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jeet have collaborated before — with Jeet producing the 2022 film Aay Khuku Aay, in which Prosenjit played a pivotal role — this marks their first time sharing the screen. Prosenjit was recently seen in a significant role in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Amazon Prime series Jubilee.

With Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, audiences can look forward to an enthralling blend of drama, culture, and conflict, promising to be a standout in Netflix’s upcoming line-up.
