‘Saiyaara’ Soars Past ₹250 Crore at Worldwide Box Office, Becomes a Global Musical Blockbuster

Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara has taken the global box office by storm. Featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles, the film has turned both actors into overnight sensations. Backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara has seen a phenomenal response from audiences, both in India and abroad.

The film, which marks Suri’s return to the romantic genre, has clearly struck a chord with viewers, especially for its emotional storytelling and chart-topping music. In a week since its release, Saiyaara has officially crossed the ₹250 crore mark, solidifying its position as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

The official Instagram handle of Yash Raj Films recently confirmed that Saiyaara has earned a total of ₹256 crore globally. "Its gross collection in India now stands at ₹212.5 crore. Saiyaara has also earned just over $5 million overseas (around ₹43 crore), taking its worldwide total to ₹256 crore."

With these numbers, Saiyaara has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Raid 2 (₹237 crore). The film is now eyeing the collections of Sitaara Zameen Par (₹264 crore) and Housefull 5 (₹289 crore), positioning itself as a strong contender for the second spot in the year's highest-grossing films, just behind Chhaava (₹808 crore).

The film tells the story of Krish Kapoor, an aspiring musician played by Ahaan Panday, and Vaani Batra, a shy journalist portrayed by Aneet Padda. Their emotionally rich love story unfolds as Vaani encourages Krish to chase his dreams, even as a surprising twist threatens their bond.
