Shanaya Kapoor's Acting Debut 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' Set for July Release

Zee Studios has officially announced the release date of the much-anticipated romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, marking the acting debut of Shanaya Kapoor. The film, directed by Santosh Singh, is slated to hit theatres on July 11, 2025.

Sharing the excitement, Zee Studios took to Instagram with a video announcement, revealing the release date with the caption, “This monsoon, don’t just fall, but feel the love.???? #AankhonkiGustaakhiyan In cinemas near you on 11th July 2025.”

While the storyline remains tightly under wraps, the film promises to deliver an emotional romantic experience. The music for the film is composed by Vishal Mishra, known for his soulful compositions.

The Kapoor family and close friends expressed their support and excitement following the release announcement. Maheep Kapoor commented, “Beyond excited. can’t wait ❤️”, while Navya Nanda said, “Yayyy Shan ❤️”. Khushi Kapoor wrote, “WOOOHOOOOOOO”, and Shweta Bachchan added, “Congratulations baby. So so happy for you.”

Earlier in March, Shanaya shared a glimpse from the shooting schedule in Azerbaijan, revealing that the Baku leg of the production had been completed. Before stepping into acting, she had worked behind the scenes as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which starred her cousin Janhvi Kapoor.

In addition to her Hindi film debut, Shanaya is also gearing up for her South Indian debut in the multilingual film Vrushabha, starring the legendary Mohanlal. The action-drama also features Zahrah S Khan and Roshann Meka and will be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Produced by AVS Studios, First Step Movies, and Balaji Telefilms, Vrushabha is set to release on October 16, 2025.

With two major releases lined up, Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make a mark in Indian cinema.
