Shefali Jariwala Passes Away at 41; Husband Parag Tyagi Faces Mixed Reactions Online

Actress and Bigg Boss 13 fame Shefali Jariwala, widely remembered for her iconic appearance in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, passed away on June 27 under sudden and tragic circumstances. Initial reports suggested a heart attack as the cause of death; however, Mumbai Police later confirmed that her body was discovered at her Andheri residence and has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.

Shefali, who rose to fame with her breakout music video, also starred in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Her sudden demise has left fans and the entertainment industry in shock.

Meanwhile, a video of her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, walking their pet dog Simba the following morning has sparked a wave of reactions online. In the widely circulated clip, Parag is seen outside their Mumbai home, possibly holding Shefali’s photograph. The footage evoked a range of emotions, from heartfelt sympathy to harsh criticism.

Many social media users expressed concern for the couple’s beloved pet. Comments like “Feeling sad for Simba as he will miss her like crazy” and “Dogs miss their owners more than humans” highlighted the deep emotional connection fans perceived between Shefali and Simba. Others added, “Shefali loved Simba. That’s why the pet is sad,” and speculated on how the pet might be coping, saying, “Simba may not be able to process the shock of her absence.”

Fans also mourned Shefali and Parag’s bond, lamenting the loss of their chemistry. However, the video drew criticism from certain quarters, with some users questioning Parag’s demeanor and actions. One comment read, “He is looking fine… ghanta farq nahi padta (he doesn’t care at all),” implying insensitivity. Another user accused him of attention-seeking, stating, “He’s come out for photos.”

Amid the negativity, several voices came forward in support of Parag. One user responded firmly to the trolls, writing, “Have some sympathy for a man who has just lost his life partner,” and reminded people that “grief is personal and that basic routines like walking a pet shouldn’t be seen as a lack of mourning.”

As the investigation into Shefali Jariwala’s death continues, fans and fellow actors continue to share their condolences and memories, mourning the untimely loss of an entertainer who left a lasting impression on the audience.
