Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal Celebrate Their First Milestones as a Married Couple

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and actor Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot earlier this year on June 23, marking the culmination of a seven-year-long relationship. Interestingly, the couple chose to get married on the same date they began dating, making the occasion even more special.

Zaheer celebrated his first birthday post-marriage this week, and Sonakshi took to Instagram to commemorate the occasion. She shared a series of heartfelt pictures with her husband, showcasing their love and bond. In one of the photos, Sonakshi rested her head on Zaheer's shoulder as they smiled warmly at the camera. In another, she planted a kiss on his cheek and embraced him lovingly.

In her caption, Sonakshi wrote, “After your mom, I’m the happiest you were born! Even happier that I married you  Happy Birthday best boy - I love you.” Zaheer replied in the comments, saying, “I love you more.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer first collaborated in the film Double XL, co-produced by Huma Qureshi. Zaheer, the son of businessman Iqbal Ratansi, was launched in Bollywood by Salman Khan in the movie Notebook, where he starred opposite Pranutan Bahl. Salman Khan, a close family friend, reportedly introduced Sonakshi to Zaheer at a party.

The couple hosted a grand wedding reception on June 23 at Mumbai’s upscale restaurant, Bastian. In a joint Instagram post announcing their marriage, they wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.”

The union of Sonakshi and Zaheer has been celebrated widely, both by fans and the film fraternity, as they embark on this new journey together.
