The Academy Revisits 'Lagaan' with Nostalgic Clip Featuring Iconic Song
In a heartwarming nod to Indian cinema, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently shared a nostalgic clip from Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), rekindling fond memories among fans worldwide. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Lagaan remains one of India's most iconic films, earning a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the 74th Academy Awards.
The clip, posted on The Academy’s official Instagram page, features the popular song Radha Kaise Na Jale, performed on-screen by lead actors Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh.
