Aamir Khan Reveals His Favourite Song at Thandel Event in Mumbai

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently attended the promotional event for Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The event, held in Mumbai on Friday, saw the actor engaging in a candid conversation with renowned music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP).

During their interaction, Aamir revealed his fondness for a song composed by DSP, a Salman Khan-starrer track that remains one of his all-time favourites. Talking to the composer, Aamir said, “There’s a song of yours, it’s my favourite song…Dhinka Chika (from 2011 film Ready). I normally don’t like to dance but vo gaana bajta hai to mai shuru ho jata hoon.”

Acknowledging Aamir’s praise, DSP expressed his gratitude, to which Aamir reaffirmed, “I promise you, even Salman knows this.”

Aamir’s presence at the event was significant, given his past collaborations with producer Allu Aravind for Ghajini (2008) and with Chaitanya in Laal Singh Chaddha (2022).

A Longstanding Equation with Salman Khan

Aamir and Salman Khan have shared a dynamic professional and personal rapport over the years. Their most notable collaboration was in the 1994 cult classic Andaz Apna Apna. However, their working styles initially led to occasional clashes.

On Bigg Boss 18, Salman reflected on their experiences, sharing, “The thing was, Aamir was doing one film while I was juggling 15 films. He would reach the set at 7 am, but I would arrive later after finishing another shoot.” In response, Aamir advised him, “Salman it’s time, we should do Andaz Apna Apna 2.”

Aamir has also expressed his desire to work alongside Salman and Shah Rukh Khan in a single film. Speaking on The Kapil Sharma Show last year, he mentioned, “I recently met both Shah Rukh and Salman when both of them were together. I told them that we are working in the film industry for so many years, we need to do a movie together. It will be unfair to the audiences if we do not collaborate during our film careers. At least we should share screen space in one film.”

Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Projects

After his last appearance in Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is set to return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par. Additionally, he is rumored to have a cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth.
