Anees Bazmee started directing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 but Akshay Kumar is not in the cast

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee, is currently busy directing the third installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, he previously confirmed to Zoom TV that actor Akshay Kumar will not be part of the project. Instead, the film will feature Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan in leading roles.

Anees clarified, "No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am eager to collaborate with him, but unfortunately, I haven't developed a script where we could work together. In the future, certainly yes." 

Regarding Vidya, Anees added, “Look, Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in my film Thank You. I remember calling her, and she took no time to give her nod of consent. I don't know why, but I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there".

Vidya Balan portrayed the character of Manjulika in the 2007 psychological horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Actor Kartik Aaryan, who has begun shooting for his upcoming horror comedy film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', shared a glimpse of the set being prepared for the shoot. In a black-and-white picture posted by the actor, crew members are seen preparing the set for a scene, although Kartik is not visible in the image. On March 11, Vidya Balan shared a video featuring the entire star cast preparing for the shoot. The caption reads, “Super thrilled to kickstart this spooky yet hilarious journey of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 with the super talented @kartikaaryan and @tripti_dimri, the visionary @aneesbazmee, and the man who made this all possible #BhushanKumar! Can’t wait for #Diwali2024.”
