Bobby Deol Reflects on His Journey, Embraces New Wave of Success as a Versatile Actor
Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, known for his impressive versatility and intensity in recent villainous roles, has opened up about the struggles actors face and the hard work required to stay relevant in the industry. Deol, who has garnered praise for his portrayals of complex characters such as Abrar Haque in Animal and Baba Nirala in Ashram, is currently experiencing a resurgence in his career.
In an interview with ANI, Bobby Deol reflected on the ups and downs of his professional journey, describing it as a constant battle. "I just feel very blessed. I feel I'm living a dream. Every actor, there are so many actors out there who, you know, are struggling, and for an actor, it's always going to be a journey full of struggles. You have to keep working hard, never lose your self-belief, be persistent, and always manifest positivity in your life because you might not get everything, but you will reach somewhere in life that will give you a certain level of satisfaction," he shared.
Bobby, who made a remarkable comeback with Animal last year, credited his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career, stating that they had been there for him and his family through all of life’s challenges. "So I think that's the way I look at life nowadays. And as I said, I've had fans all my life. My fans have always stood by me, supported my father, my brother, me, and my whole family. And I am, you know, what do I say? I am so grateful for their blessings and for their belief in me. So I guess they were all waiting for me to come back with more sincerity and more self-belief. So that's what I'm doing right now. And that's how things change in life, I think," Deol expressed.
He also touched on the subject of luck, emphasizing that success is largely a product of hard work. "I think hard work turns into luck. You can't just keep crying about luck being a factor in your life. The harder you work, it will definitely give you something in life," he added.
On the professional front, Bobby Deol is gearing up for his South Indian cinema debut in the highly anticipated Tamil film Kanguva. Starring alongside Tamil superstar Suriya, Deol will play the antagonist Udhiran in a film that promises high-octane action and a gripping storyline. Directed by Siva and produced by Studio Green, Kanguva is set 1,500 years in the past, featuring dramatic face-offs between Deol's and Suriya’s characters. The star-studded cast also includes Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and others.
With a production budget exceeding ₹350 crore and filming across seven countries and various parts of India, Kanguva is poised to be a cinematic spectacle. The film is slated for release in theatres on November 14, and fans are eagerly awaiting its grand debut.
