Boney Kapoor Remembers Late Wife Sridevi with Heartfelt Tributes

Producer Boney Kapoor often takes to social media to share cherished throwback moments of his late wife, the legendary actress Sridevi. On Sunday, he posted a touching picture of the couple, where they were seen smiling at each other. Alongside the photo, he penned a heartfelt caption: "True love cannot be hidden."

The post garnered significant attention, with fans expressing their admiration in the comments. One fan described Sridevi as their "favourite queen," while another called the couple "the best."

Recently, Boney Kapoor shared another throwback picture of Sridevi, showcasing her elegance in a black gown with a graceful smile. Remembering her, he captioned the photo, "Elegance & Grace of a true Queen."

In a heartfelt tribute last October, Boney Kapoor, along with his daughters, inaugurated a chowk in Mumbai in Sridevi's name. The event, attended by political leaders and industry members, was a testament to her enduring legacy. Veteran actor Shabana Azmi was among those present to honor the iconic actress.

Sridevi, born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963, remains celebrated for her remarkable contributions to Indian cinema. She delivered iconic performances in Hindi films such as Chandni, Lamhe, Mr. India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and English Vinglish. Her versatility extended to Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, earning her widespread acclaim.

The actress, a Padma Shri awardee, received the National Film Award for Best Actress posthumously for her performance in Mom, her final film. Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai while attending a family event.

Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, have followed in their mother’s footsteps and embarked on acting careers, continuing the family’s cinematic legacy.
