Everyone's favourite Chotta Bheem is back to save Dholakpur - teaser out

The teaser for Chhota Bheem promises an exhilarating roller-coaster ride, brimming with larger-than-life action and grand spectacle.

Chhota Bheem, the beloved children's warrior, is gearing up for his big-screen debut in an action-packed motion picture, following the success of HanuMan. The teaser for "Chhota Bheem And The Curse of Damyaan" was released by the makers on Thursday, promising an exciting adventure for fans.

Set in the ancient dystopian village of Dholakpur, the mythical tale of "Chhota Bheem And The Curse of Damyaan" is packed with mystery, adventure, valor, and heroism. The one-minute ten seconds teaser highlights Bheem, affectionately known as Chhota Bheem, as the protector and savior of Dholakpur.

The teaser then transitions to the ominous realm of the serpent demon Damyaan, whose sinister goal is to disrupt the peace of Dholakpur and spread evil across mankind. Bheem faces formidable challenges as he battles mighty warriors, serpents, and tigers, emerging as the sole hope for his villagers and the kingdom of Dholakpur. Alongside epic action sequences, the teaser showcases sorcery through visually stunning VFX. In the animated series, the 9-year-old protagonist Bheem possesses superhuman abilities, acquired by indulging in his favorite delicacy, laddoos, akin to the magic potion in Disney's Gummy Bears and Asterix anthology.

While speculation surrounds the potential adaptation of Mukesh Khanna's Shaktiman into a movie, no official confirmation has been provided. In an era dominated by massy action and noir thrillers, the audience's response to Chhota Bheem's theatrical release could serve as a barometer for the future of the superhero genre in Indian cinema.

In the upcoming movie, child actor Yagya Bhasin takes on the titular role of Chhota Bheem, while Anupam Kher also plays a pivotal character, making a brief but impactful appearance in the teaser. Kher's portrayal hints at a significant role, with his character's appearance suggesting a magician-like persona.

Anupam Kher takes on the role of Guru Shambhu, while Makarand Deshpande joins the cast in the upcoming cinematic adaptation of the beloved cartoon series. Aashriya Mishra and Surabhi Tiwari step into the roles of Chutki and Tuntun Mausi, respectively, under the direction of Rajiv Chilaka. The script of this live-action entertainer is penned by Niraj Vikram. Fans can mark their calendars for the release of the movie on May 24, 2024.
