John Abraham Recalls School Days with Hrithik Roshan, Praises His Dance Skills

Actor John Abraham, who recently starred in The Diplomat, has been actively promoting his film since its release on March 14. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the actor shared insights into his Bollywood journey, his choice of offbeat films, and the evolving landscape of the film industry.

During the conversation, Abraham reflected on his school days at Bombay Scottish School, where he was classmates with Hrithik Roshan. Looking back at an old class photograph, he recalled Roshan’s exceptional dancing skills, saying, “Hrithik is probably the best dancer you have, and even in school he was so good at breakdancing; we used to have a cultural activities period in school, and all of us used to go just to watch Hrithik dance. What a dancer he is.”

The Pathaan actor humorously contrasted their school-time pursuits, mentioning, “I used to waste my time turning brown on the football field, and he would be dancing beautifully.”

Despite both playing memorable anti-hero roles in the Dhoom film franchise and being part of the YRF Spy Universe, Abraham and Roshan have never shared screen space. Reflecting on this, Abraham speculated on how a potential collaboration between his character, Jim, and Roshan’s Kabir would unfold.

Hrithik Roshan, who made his Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000, went on to become one of the biggest stars of his generation. Before stepping into acting, he worked as an assistant director for his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, on the film Karan Arjun.

Recalling his early experiences in the industry, Roshan recently shared an anecdote on Instagram about ensuring the shoot remained on schedule. He wrote, “During the shoot, a more than merry team of Shahrukh and Salman decided to leave Sariska by car and drive to Delhi, promising to be back by morning. I was flabbergasted and jumped (literally) on the bonnet of the car to stop them. The call time was 6 am, and I had to make sure my dad didn’t lose the day. He didn’t.”

With both actors carving distinct paths in the industry, fans continue to anticipate the possibility of seeing them together on the big screen.
