Kajol Praises Khans, Calls Salman’s Star Power “Unmatched”
Veteran Bollywood actor Kajol recently reflected on her experiences working with all three leading Khans of the Hindi film industry—Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan—highlighting their individual strengths during an interview with Galatta India.
Kajol, who has shared screen space with each of the Khans in iconic films over the years, lauded Shah Rukh and Aamir for their remarkable professionalism and dedication to the craft. “Shah Rukh and Aamir deserve all the trophies when it comes to dedication, as they are very, very serious about their craft and discipline,” she remarked.
Turning her attention to Salman Khan, Kajol acknowledged his enduring appeal and legendary star presence. “Salman is Salman Khan. You can’t argue with that. He’s remained the same over the years, and that in itself is incredible,” she stated. She went on to quote Aamir Khan, saying, “Even Aamir once said, ‘Salman is definitely a bigger star than me, because no matter how his film performs, it still manages to cross ₹100 crore. And his fans adore him like crazy.’”
When told that actor Akshay Kumar has equaled Salman in terms of box office success, with 18 films crossing the ₹100 crore mark, Kajol was quick to commend the achievement. “Wow, that’s amazing! But when we talk about sheer star power, I think even Akshay would agree—you just can’t touch Salman’s star power,” she added.
Kajol and Salman have previously appeared together in hit films such as Karan Arjun, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Their on-screen chemistry, particularly in Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, remains memorable for audiences.
On the professional front, Kajol is gearing up for the release of Maa, a mythological horror film directed by Vishal Furia. The film, also starring Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma, is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande and is set to hit cinemas on June 27.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan, who was last seen in Sikandar, has an exciting slate ahead. He is set to appear in an upcoming action film alongside Sanjay Dutt and will also reprise his role in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2.
