Salman Khan’s action-packed thriller Sikandar has officially entered the coveted 200 crore club at the worldwide box office. However, despite this milestone, the film is struggling to maintain momentum, especially in the domestic market.

Domestic Collections Show Sharp Decline

On its second Monday, Sikandar witnessed a significant dip in collections in India. The film, which had managed to earn 6.02 crores on its second Sunday, saw its numbers drop drastically the following day.

“It’s game over in the domestic market,” as trade analysts describe the current scenario. The movie earned only 2.03 crores on day nine, taking its India net collection to 123.12 crores.

The situation is expected to worsen during the weekdays, especially with Sunny Deol’s Jaat gearing up for release in just a couple of days. The upcoming film is generating massive buzz, which could further threaten Sikandar’s already diminishing box office run. At its current pace, industry experts predict that Sikandar might wrap up its lifetime domestic collection close to Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force, which collected 134.93 crores.

Overseas Performance Fails To Impress

Internationally, the film hasn’t been able to create a significant impact either. “Along with the dismissal in India, there is barely any sigh of relief in the overseas circuit.” On its ninth day, Sikandar added merely 1 crore gross from the overseas market, bringing its total international collection to 55.65 crores gross.
