Shiboprosad Mukherjee-Nandita Roy’s Bohurupi Unveils Soulful Track 'Aaj Shara Bela,' Featuring Shreya Ghoshal and Anupam Roy’s Melodic Composition

The much-anticipated Puja release, Bohurupi, directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, has unveiled its second song, "Aaj Shara Bela." The track, featuring popular actors Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty, is voiced by the renowned Shreya Ghoshal and composed by Anupam Roy.

The song narrates the delicate love story of Pori and Sumantra, portraying Pori's anticipation and longing as she prepares for her husband’s return. The visuals beautifully capture her devotion, culminating in an emotional moment when Sumantra finally arrives home.

Sharing her thoughts on the song, Ghoshal expressed, "It’s such a beautiful song, and I adore the composition. It blends multiple genres, making it incredibly intriguing. The song is beautifully visualised, centred around a girl waiting for her lover. I believe that everything he creates—whether the melody or lyrics—comes from his heart, which truly reflects in the composition. All the songs I’ve sung for him have become some of my favorites, and this one is no exception."

Anupam Roy also revealed the dedication behind getting Ghoshal on board for the project, stating, "I have been pursuing Shreya for the past six months to make this recording happen. From the moment I started composing, I knew this song was meant for her voice. I’m glad we finally managed to do it!"

Bohurupi, which marks Bengal's first chase-drama, promises an intense narrative set against the backdrop of Bengal. The teaser hints at a gripping storyline involving two adversaries and their allies, unraveling through a series of high-stakes challenges, bravery, and dramatic chases. As the film builds towards its climax, audiences can expect a riveting face-off between the central characters.
