Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 7: Akshay Kumar’s Action-Drama Nears ₹100 Crore Mark

The action-drama Sky Force, directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, continues its strong performance at the box office. Released on January 24 ahead of Republic Day, the film features Akshay Kumar, debutant Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan in pivotal roles.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sky Force has amassed approximately ₹86.13 crore net in India within seven days of its release. On its seventh day, the film earned an estimated ₹5.13 crore net. The film had a strong opening, collecting ₹12.25 crore on its first day, followed by ₹22 crore and ₹28 crore over the weekend. In the subsequent days, it garnered ₹7 crore, ₹5.75 crore, and ₹6 crore, crossing the ₹80 crore milestone.

On the global front, Sky Force has reportedly accumulated ₹92.90 crore worldwide by Monday, according to its producers, Maddock Films. The film is now inching closer to the coveted ₹100 crore mark.

Sky Force is based on India's attack on Pakistan's Sargodha airbase during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Produced by Jio Studios in association with Maddock Films, the film sees Akshay Kumar portraying Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja, a character inspired by Om Prakash Taneja VRC. Veer Pahariya plays T Krishna Vijaya, also known as Tabby, a character based on Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya MVC.

Reflecting on his experience meeting the late Devayya’s family, Veer Pahariya shared with ANI, “I was lucky to meet the family on whom this film is based. Mrs. Devayya, who is 90 years old, and her daughters watched the film. They told me I did justice to the character and that the hard work paid off. For me, there's no bigger reward than knowing they felt proud and happy after watching the movie.”

With its compelling storyline and strong performances, Sky Force continues to draw audiences, solidifying its place as one of the significant releases of the year.
