Tom Holland's Spider-Man Set for 2026 Return

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is poised to return to the big screen in an untitled sequel scheduled for release on July 24, 2026, as reported by Variety. This new installment, produced by Columbia Pictures, will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." The film is set to debut just two months after "Avengers: Doomsday," which premieres on May 1, 2026.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Holland confirmed that production for the fourth Spider-Man movie is set to begin in mid-2025. “Next summer, we start shooting. Everything's good to go -- we're nearly there,” Holland stated. “Super exciting. I can't wait!”

As of now, it remains unclear whether Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ. Holland and Zendaya have been dating for several years, raising speculation about her return to the franchise.

Cretton’s involvement marks a significant shift in direction for the Spider-Man series, taking over from previous director Jon Watts. Cretton has been actively engaged with Marvel, including co-creating the upcoming "Wonder Man" miniseries and developing a sequel to "Shang-Chi." However, "Spider-Man 4" has become the primary focus for the studio.

Holland was last seen in the Apple TV Plus miniseries The Crowded Room, and he has recently signed on for a project with Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan.
