Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12 Titled Kingdom, Action-Packed Teaser Unveiled

The much-anticipated title teaser of Vijay Deverakonda’s 12th film, tentatively known as VD12, has finally been released. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the action-thriller has been officially titled Kingdom and is set to hit theaters on May 30, 2025.

The title was revealed through an intense, action-packed teaser video that showcases Vijay Deverakonda in a powerful new avatar. The 1-minute-56-second teaser introduces his character as a "reincarnated leader" of the masses. Adding to the excitement, the voiceovers for the teaser are provided by top stars from different industries—Jr NTR for the Telugu version, Ranbir Kapoor for the Hindi version, and Suriya for the Tamil version.

The teaser opens with a haunting backdrop resembling a burial ground by the shore, with lifeless bodies scattered around. Military forces are seen setting up their base, preparing to fire at an unseen target. Moments later, Vijay Deverakonda’s character makes a striking entrance, setting the stage for a gripping narrative. While much about his role remains under wraps, glimpses from the teaser reveal him wielding a police shield in combat and appearing among prisoners in a jail uniform. The sequence ends with his powerful dialogue: “I will do anything needed, sir, including destroying everything.”

Since its announcement, Kingdom has been generating significant buzz. Sithara Entertainments, the film's official production house, unveiled the title on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, further fueling excitement among fans.

On February 12, Vijay Deverakonda took to social media to share his experience of working with Jr NTR. Reflecting on their time together, he wrote, “Spent most yesterday with him. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and is produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with editing by Navin Nooli.
