"Without a doubt, I will marry" - says Sushmita Sen

Sushmita Sen states that if the individual is compatible and fulfills her criteria, she is open to marriage. Additionally, she believes in maintaining friendships with ex-partners while understanding boundaries.

Sushmita Sen, frequently in the limelight for her personal affairs, addressed her past revelations about experiencing a "big heart attack" in 2023, her association with ex Lalit Modi, and the intermittent nature of her relationship with Rohman Shawl. In a recent interview with Indulge, the actress reiterated her openness about her romantic life, discussing her stance on marriage and the possibility of maintaining friendships with ex-partners.

When questioned about her approach to handling heartbreaks with grace, Sushmita responded, “My life has undeniably been an open book as I've lived it with honesty and, at times, fearlessness. However, dignity isn't confined to one facet of your life; it's intrinsic to your being. Therefore, every decision you make, regardless of whether it causes pain, betrayal, or fault, doesn't compromise your dignity.”

She further emphasized that if a relationship wasn't destined to endure, one should cherish the lessons learned and proceed forward. Sushmita expressed that dedicating significant time to another person should never be regarded as a mistake.

When questioned about maintaining friendships with exes and her views on marriage, Sushmita replied, “Certainly. However, it can be challenging and perplexing. Many individuals can maintain friendships with their exes without establishing clear boundaries. Yet, it's feasible, as I've witnessed it firsthand and am fortunate to experience it in my life as well... Absolutely (Will she marry)! It has never been a categorical ‘no’. Whether prompted by biological clock concerns or societal norms, neither serves as a valid reason for marriage. However, if the person is compatible and meets my criteria, I would undoubtedly consider marriage.”

Sushmita Sen was romantically involved with actor Randeep Hooda from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, she embarked on a relationship with model Rohman Shawl from 2018 to 2021, with recent speculation suggesting a potential reconciliation based on their public outings. In July 2022, reports surfaced indicating her involvement with businessman and IPL founder Lalit Modi.

Sushmita candidly discussed her short-lived romance with Lalit in a 2023 interview with Mid-Day, describing it as "just another phase." She expressed amusement at being labeled a 'gold digger' by some individuals. These remarks followed Lalit's viral social media posts announcing their relationship, which featured snapshots from their shared vacations.
