Dharma Productions Announces Theatrical Re-Release of Kal Ho Naa Ho on November 15

Dharma Productions has announced the re-release of the popular 2003 Bollywood romantic drama Kal Ho Naa Ho, which will be back in theaters on November 15, sparking excitement among fans. The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan, is known for its emotional performances, memorable dialogues, and iconic soundtrack. On Instagram, the production house shared the news with a nostalgic post, saying, "'Laal ab sabke dil ka haal hai, hone wala ab kamaal hai! #KalHoNaaHo re-releasing in cinemas on 15th November at @pvrcinemas_official @inoxmovies!'"

Kal Ho Naa Ho, directed by Nikkhil Advani, tells the story of Naina Katherine Kapoor (Preity Zinta), an MBA student living in New York who falls in love with her neighbor, Aman Mathur (Shah Rukh Khan), a terminally ill man who encourages her to pursue a relationship with her friend Rohit Patel (Saif Ali Khan) to spare her heartbreak. The film is widely regarded as one of the standout romances in Hindi cinema, noted for its heartfelt narrative, performances, and soulful music.

The re-release is set to bring back memories for audiences, with many fans expressing their excitement on social media. Comments flooded the announcement post, with one user calling it "one of the best films made in Hindi cinema," while another eagerly shared, "Yaaay...can't wait to see it again!"

On the 20th anniversary of the film last year, producer Karan Johar reflected on the movie's enduring impact, calling it an "emotional journey" for the entire team. Johar shared, "This film has been such an emotional journey for me and perhaps for all of us, if I have gathered over the many years. To bring such a stellar star cast together with a story that has a beating heart...it's all kudos to the entire cast and team behind the camera for making Kal Ho Naa Ho still beat strong and within everyone’s hearts."

Johar also noted the personal significance of the film, as it was the last project his father, Yash Johar, was part of within Dharma Productions. "For me, this was the last film that my father was a part of from the Dharma family...and it feels surreal to have his presence in every frame as I rewatch it even till today. Thank you, papa, for guiding us through everything & making stories that matter...and for always standing by what is right. I will always miss you."

Johar concluded by expressing his gratitude to director Nikkhil Advani, who made his directorial debut with the film. "And thank you Nikkhil for making a directorial debut that is etched forever in all our collective hearts," he added.

The re-release of Kal Ho Naa Ho promises to be a celebration of its legacy and the timeless appeal it holds for audiences both old and new. Fans and moviegoers can once again experience the emotional highs and unforgettable moments that have made the film a staple of Bollywood’s romance genre.
