‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ Shows Steady Growth at the Box Office, Outperforms Previous Rom-Coms

The Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Mere Husband Ki Biwi has managed to sustain audience interest, registering a weekend collection of approximately ₹5.6 – ₹5.8 crore. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is showing a better box office performance compared to recent Bollywood romantic comedies.

In fact, the film has surpassed the performance of Loveyapa, which starred Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor and managed to collect ₹7.54 crore in total. On its third day, Sunday, February 23, Mere Husband Ki Biwi raked in an estimated ₹1.8 – ₹2 crore, maintaining a similar momentum to its Saturday collections.

For Arjun Kapoor, this release marks a crucial moment in his theatrical journey. His last official theatrical release was Kuttey, which earned ₹4.05 crore at the box office. Meanwhile, The Lady Killer had a rather unusual fate, as an incomplete version of the film was released in cinemas to ensure it met its OTT release deadline. Consequently, it saw negligible collections.

Given this, Mere Husband Ki Biwi managed to surpass The Lady Killer's earnings in advance bookings alone and has now outperformed Kuttey as well. With positive word-of-mouth and steady weekend figures, the film's performance in the coming days will be crucial in determining its overall success.
