Salman Khan's Film Sikandar Teaser Postponed Following Former PM Manmohan Singh's Demise

The much-anticipated teaser of Salman Khan's upcoming action film Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, was initially scheduled for release on the actor's 59th birthday, December 27. However, in light of the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the teaser launch has been postponed.

Production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala, shared the update through their official X handle on Friday morning, just hours before the planned teaser launch. Their statement read: “In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding. - #TeamSikandar.”

Ahead of the actor's birthday, the makers unveiled Salman Khan's look from Sikandar, generating significant buzz among fans. The poster features the actor in a rugged, suited avatar holding a spear, although his full face remains partially obscured. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Salman announced the teaser's initial release date, writing, “The teaser of Sikandar will be unveiled on my birthday.”

The film stars Rashmika Mandanna opposite Salman Khan and is slated for an Eid release in cinemas. Salman Khan, currently hosting Bigg Boss 14, is also set to appear in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2.

Remembering Dr. Manmohan Singh

Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday night due to age-related health issues, as confirmed by AIIMS New Delhi. A celebrated economist and statesman, Dr. Singh served as the Prime Minister of India for two consecutive terms from 2004 to 2014. His tenure began after Congress' victory in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, succeeding Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA.

Dr. Singh is also credited with spearheading India's 1991 New Economic Policy, which played a pivotal role in shaping the country's modern economy. Following his tenure as Prime Minister, he was succeeded by Narendra Modi in 2014.

The nation mourns the loss of a visionary leader whose contributions have left a lasting impact on India’s political and economic landscape.
