Sumona Chakravarti, widely recognized for her role as Kapil Sharma’s on-screen wife in various comedy shows, recently shared insights into her experience on The Kapil Sharma Show. While the show is often lauded for its spontaneity, Sumona revealed that her process was quite different.

In a conversation with Small Towns Big Stories on YouTube, she disclosed that for her, the entire act was scripted, and she approached it purely as an acting assignment rather than a space for improvisation. Unlike many of her co-stars who thrived on spontaneity, Sumona admitted that comedy was not her natural forte, and she had to work hard to adapt to the genre.

"I have my own personal sense of humour, but that wouldn’t fit into the show. So, for me, it was purely acting. It took a lot of time to get comfortable with it," she shared.
