Coldplay Concert Tickets for Ahmedabad Resold at Exorbitant Prices Within Minutes of Release

Tickets for Coldplay's highly anticipated concert in Ahmedabad have surfaced on reselling platforms with drastically inflated prices shortly after going live on BookMyShow. The tickets became available for purchase at 12 PM today, but within minutes, platforms like Viagogo started listing them at five to six times their original cost.

The British rock band, known for its spectacular live performances, is scheduled to perform at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25, 2025, following three shows in Mumbai. Additionally, a second show has been announced for January 26 at the same venue. The Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world, has a seating capacity of 1,32,000.

Reports show that a ticket for the South Premium section is listed on Viagogo for an eye-watering ₹2 lakh, while the cheapest tickets are priced at ₹25,000. As of now, there are 167 tickets for the January 25 concert available on the platform.

This surge in reselling comes amid overwhelming demand, with over 5 lakh fans reportedly waiting in a virtual queue on BookMyShow to secure tickets. Fans and event organizers have expressed concerns about the growing trend of ticket scalping, which often leaves genuine enthusiasts at a disadvantage.
