"My father never wanted me to act," says Hia Mukhopadhyay from "Geeta LLB"

The TV show "Geeta LLB" scores well on the TRP chart, it usually receives good attention. Hia Mukhopadhyay plays a key character in the series, portraying Geeta. She acts as a lawyer in the show, embodying a character who may seem poor but is honest. Geeta, who walks the path of justice, is quite a tough girl type. 

It's hard to believe, but in real life, Hia is not quite like the character Geeta. She has been involved in modeling for the past 10 years and is now starting her journey as an actress. Rising to fame as Geeta, she receives a lot of love from the audience. However, Hia is not like Geeta at all. While Geeta may be bold, Hia is quite gentle by nature. Her mother plays a significant role in her life.

And what about her father? Hia's grandfather was a freedom fighter. Her father is a researcher. Her father expected Hia to pursue higher education. But her father's dream was never her dream. Hia wanted to establish herself as an actress. So, in this battle of hers, Hia didn't have her father by her side. In an interview, she said, "My father wanted me to do something related to literature or academics. But I couldn't keep my father's desire. That's my father's reproach."

However, since becoming popular with "Geeta LLB," her father has accepted his daughter's wishes. Hia said, "Now, at 6:30 in the evening, my father sits in front of the TV long before. Both my parents watch my show while having tea. This means a lot to me. Even if no one else watches my serial, if my parents watch it, that's enough. Maybe now my father loves my work, but he doesn't express it outwardly."
