Tamil Actor Vishal Collapses On Stage During Miss Koovagam 2025 Event, Now Stable

Tamil actor Vishal experienced a sudden health scare on May 11 during a public event in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred while he was attending a cultural program as the chief guest in Koovagam village, organized as part of the annual Tamil month festival.

The event featured the Miss Koovagam 2025 beauty pageant, held for the transgender community on Sunday night. Amid the celebrations, the actor unexpectedly lost consciousness and collapsed on stage, causing immediate concern among attendees. Quick to respond, fans and event organizers provided first aid on the spot. Vishal soon regained consciousness and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. He is now reported to be in stable condition.

Former minister K. Ponmudi, who was also present at the event, ensured that Vishal received prompt medical attention. The incident, witnessed by many, sparked concern across social media, with fans expressing their worry over the actor’s health.

This episode comes just months after Vishal’s recovery from dengue earlier this year. During the pre-release event of his upcoming film Madha Gaja Raja, fans noticed that the actor appeared visibly unwell. Despite battling a viral fever, he chose to attend the event, requiring assistance to stand. A clip from the event, which went viral online, showed the actor trembling while holding the microphone.

Addressing these concerns, Vishal later clarified his health status: “I recently had a common fever, and I’m completely recovered now. There were false rumors claiming I wouldn’t be able to work for three or six months, but none of it is true,” he said in a public statement.

Madha Gaja Raja, directed by Sundar C., stars Vishal alongside Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Although originally scheduled for a 2013 release, the film faced multiple delays due to financial and legal hurdles. It is now set to hit theatres on January 12, 2025.
